As part of its traditional summer camp program, Deep Sigh Horse Farm offers an extensive equestrian program. It combines qualified staff, experienced horses, and excellent facilities to create an atmosphere where campers can advance their riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge, and enjoy riding with friends.
The cost for camp is $650 per session per week. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of registration. The balance is to be paid in full before the first day of camp starts. Payment may be made with cash, personal checks, Venmo, or credit card.
Our equestrian staff is qualified to teach a wide range of riders. Young beginners play mounted games and get to learn all about their favorite horses, while others may learn to post the trot, canter, or jump. More advanced riders may get to jump through gymnastics or over natural obstacles.
The Deep Sigh summer camp horseback riding program is based on the 4-H Horsemanship programs of balanced seat riding, a system used by many top hunter-jumper, eventing, and dressage riders.
When campers select horseback riding as an activity at camp, the equestrian director considers their skill, confidence, and size in assigning appropriate mounts, riding groups, and instructors. The overall priorities of the Deep Sigh riding program are safety, fun, and skill advancement.
